Friday night the Redskins were scheduled to take on Elkhart Memorial at their field. We have seriously only had about 5 really hot and humid days this summer and 3 of them have been on the last three Fridays! It was 92 with a heat index of 99 and miserable. I drove up to the game and then sat in the car for 2 1/2 hours while lightning danced all around me before the game was finally called at 9:30 pm and rescheduled for Saturday at 2:00. The good news was that storm brought a cold front that dropped the temperature to a gorgeous 72 degrees on Saturday! We ended up losing a heartbreaker 13-14 game after missing a field goal with :22 left. Its part of the game but such a gut wrenching part.
